What's The Difference With The Different Types Of Wicks?
CD Wicks: CD wicks are cotton flat braid wicks that have no core and are non-directional, which means they can burn in any position. They contain paper filaments that make them stiffer. You can use CD wicks for tealights, votives, pillars, and container candles. These wicks are self-trimming and help create a steady flame while burning.
CD-5: This size of wick may work best with container and votive candles that are no more than 1" - 2" in diameter.
CD-6: This size of wick may work best with container and votive candles that are no more than 2" in diameter.
CD-7: This size of wick may work best with container candles that are no more than 2.5" in diameter.
CD-8: This size of wick may work best with small (1.5" - 2.5") container candles, and medium (2" - 3") pillar candles.
CD-10: This size of wick may work best with medium (2" - 3") pillar candles.
CD-12: This size of wick may work best with container candles, and medium (2" - 3") pillar candles.
CD-14: This size of wick may work best with container candles and medium (2"-3") pillar candles.
CD-18: This size of wick may work best with medium (2" - 3") container candles, and large (3" - 4") pillar candles.
Cotton Wicks: This is a cotton core wick made from textile-grade cotton. It is designed to promote clean burning and minimize mushrooming from carbon buildup. Their versatility makes them suitable for both paraffin and soy waxes. They are primed with a high melt paraffin wax coating and pre-tabbed.
COTTON-60: This size of wick may work best with small (2" - 3") container and pillar candles.
HTP Wicks: HTP candle wicks are a coreless, cotton flat braid wick with paper filament throughout, providing the structural strength of a paper core wick. Their self-trimming and complete combustion burning characteristics minimize mushrooming and soot.
HTP-93: This size of wick may work best with medium (2" - 3") container candles and large (3" - 4") pillar candles.
HTP-105: This size of wick may work best with medium (2" - 3") container candles and large (3" - 4") pillar and container candles.
ECO Wicks: ECO candle wicks are a coreless, cotton flat braid wick with paper filament throughout, providing increased rigidity and strength. They have a self-trimming and clean burning characteristic that minimizes mushrooming, soot and smoke.
ECO 2: This size of wick may work best with votives and small (1" - 2") pillar and container candles.
ECO 4: This size of wick may work best with votives, small (1" - 2") pillar and container candles, and medium (2" - 3") pillar candles.
ECO 6: This size of wick may work best with small (1" - 2") pillar candles and medium (2" - 3") pillar and container candles.

- 6" tall wicks are pre-waxed with a natural wax coating and are made with a standard 20mm metal wick holder tab to help keep the wick upright and in place when pouring the wax.
- NOTE: We recommend testing new wick sizes when making any modifications to existing candle recipes, or making new candles. Burning characteristics can be altered by changes in wax, fragrance oil, dye, and/or additives, which could result in a different optimal wick size for the same diameter of candle.
