Wooden Bee Hive Shim Assembled

Our Wooden Bee Hive Shim comes assembled and ready to use. Bee hive shims are a necessity in the winter to allow extra space in the top of the hive for feeding dry sugar as an emergency winter food source, or for feeding winter patties. Shim measures 3/4" tall. Shims come assembled and ready to use, without drilled ventilation holes. Shims can be drilled with holes for top ventilation by the customer if chosen, but Lappe's Bee Supply does not include the ventilation holes. Shims available in 5 frame hive, 8 frame hive or 10 frame hive sizes.

Hive body and frames are not included

this year I am going to winter my bees just like you guys do in Iowa , shim , pollen patties , and moisture boards !! Thanks for the informative video....
