Extreme Triple Wax Coated 9" Deep Plastic Foundation Sheets - Your Choice of Black or Yellow
Triple wax coated plastic foundation sheets have three times as heavy coating of wax which promotes a higher acceptance rate with bees compared to other standard wax coated plastic foundation. We have made these to be some of the best wax coated foundation sheets in the industry! Plastic foundation sheets easily snap into a 9-1/8" grooved top bar frame, to be used in 9-5/8" deep brood boxes for the bee hive. They are impervious to wax moth damage, and the food grade plastic is durable and will withstand years of extracting. Foundation sheets work with manual and automatic uncapping equipment.
Please note: The difference in colors has nothing to do with the bees acceptance; it all has to do with the preference of each beekeeper. The black foundation makes it easy to find out if your queen is alive and laying well: it is easy to see the small white eggs against the black background, so you don't have to see your queen to know that you have one. Or, if you prefer, yellow foundation is more like actual beeswax.
Unlike standard single waxed foundation sold on the market today, these foundations have the extra coating of wax that your bees need, so you don't have to add any, saving you time, money and effort! Super simple to use - just take out of the box, snap into your existing frames (or build into your brand new frames!), and add them to your hive. Plus, there's no mess to clean up from having to do your own waxing! These foundations are made in the PRC to our high quality specifications.
