This extractor is extremely durable and is constructed of quality stainless steel. It can hold 3 shallow, medium or deep frames tangential. All of the frames will need to be flipped to extract the honey from both sides.
Extractor includes a 120V AC motor that runs quietly while in operation. Lids include magnets to hold lid open during loading/unloading, and also includes and additional safety feature of automatic shut off when one of the lids is opened. Motor will restart once lid is closed.
This extractor comes with a plastic honey gate and clear plexiglass lids, which allow you to view the progress of the spinning frames, while keeping other debris out. The bottom of the drum is conical shaped, which allows all of the honey to easily drain out. Legs of extractor include holes for mounting onto solid surface for added stability.
Please note: this extractor is designed to work with Langstroth sized shallow, medium and deep frames only; the largest frame size that it can accommodate is 19" long x 9-1/8" high x 1-1/6" wide. All other types of frames designed for other styles of hives, or homemade frames, may not work in this extractor. Purchase of this extractor for use with other types and sizes of frames is solely at the discretion of the customer, with the understanding that the extractor may not work with their equipment.
Honey extractor can be cleaned using soap and water.
